I’ve absolutely loved pretty much everything that Pixar has ever done (CARS and CARS 2 being the exceptions), so I’m beyond excited for all of these announcements—Pete Docter and Lee Unkrich’s new projects in particular.

The Salt Lake City Film Festival is dedicated to empowering the independent filmmaker through exhibition, community engagement, education and resource management while both stimulating and perpetuating creative economies.

Submissions for the 2013 Festival are now officially open!

Notable dates regarding submissions:

Early Bird Deadline: March 29, 2013
Regular Deadline: May 3, 2013
Late Deadline: May 31, 2013
Without A Box Ext. Deadline: June 7, 2013

Prices vary depending on type of film submitted and deadline met.

The first Wednesday of every month, the SLCFF hosts a free screening at Brewvies Cinema Pub (679 S. 200 W. 21+) called HEFFE'FILM'IN. This year, we're showcasing some of the best science fiction films of the century, so make sure you come out and join us.
